Dr. Benedict Francis Dizon Valdecanas, MD is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports and regenerative medicine. He currently serves as the President of the Philippine Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (POSSM) and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at Cardinal Santos Medical Center. A graduate of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center, he completed his residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center and fellowships in sports medicine and arthroscopy in the USA and India.

He holds two master’s degrees—Molecular & Cell Biology (University of the Philippines) and Clinical Epidemiology (Baylor College of Medicine, Texas). An Associate Professor at ECARE and a fellow of major international orthopaedic societies, Dr. Valdecanas is a leader in regenerative medicine, joint reconstruction, and shoulder arthroscopy, with an active role in research, education, and clinical innovation.
