Dr Isaac Jamieson, an Assistant Professor in the field of Creative Environmental and Technology Studies, is Head of Thammasat University’s Resilient Innovation Research Unit. He is also an Associate Director of the Design, Business and Technology Management (International Program) at Thammasat Design School, an architect, scientist and environmental consultant. Much of his work is involved in the development and refinement of international best practice measures related to creating healthier, more bio-sustainable electromagnetic environments and technologies.
Previously he was an Expert Group Member for Subcommittee TC101: ‘Electrostatic Control in Health Care Facilities’ for the International Electrotechnical Commission; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer for the UK Institute of Physics’ Electrostatics Group; represented the RIBA on the UK Health Protection Agency’s ELF EMF Communication Working Group; a member of the Management Steering Committee of the CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group; and an Expert Group Member for the European Commission’s Group of stakeholders on EMF. He is additionally a scientific advisor for the Physicians’ Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment. He earned his PhD at Imperial College London.
His recent inter-disciplinary research covers how environmental design that seeks to optimise exposures to electromagnetic phenomena can help improve wellness and reduce likelihood of illness and ill health.
